Student Generation of Canvas Parent / Observer Codes

Students must generate Parent / Observer Codes by doing the following:

1. Student accesses their course in Canvas.
   
   
2. Click on Account in Global Navigation (left menu bar) and then Settings.
   
   
   
3. In the right menu section, click on Pair with Observer.
   
   
   
4. Copy the code from the Pair with Observer field and share it with the parent / observer. This code is valid for 7 days and may only be used once.
   • Pairing codes are case-sensitive.
   • A separate pairing code must be created for each observer.
