Visit https://translate.google.com/ and select the Text button. You can type or speak your words into the text box.
To translate by speaking, be sure your computer's microphone is on and the volume is turned up. You can find this in your device settings. Click the microphone icon in the Google Translate text box.
When it is activated and capturing sound, you will see Speak now and a blue record icon.
Begin speaking to capture your voice. Google Translate will transcribe your words in the text box.
In the translation box, select the language you would like for the transcription. Use the dropdown arrow to select a language. You will find an extensive list of languages.
To hear the translated version, click the speaker icon in the translation box.
To capture a language to be translated, select the spoken language and click the microphone icon. Select English in the translate box. Google translate will transcribe the spoken message in English in the translation box.
