Handling Your Chromebook
Handle your Chromebook responsibly.
- Always handle the device with clean hands.
- Gently hold the device with light pressure, meaning do not squeeze it with forceful pressure as internal components and / or the screen could get damaged.
- Avoid carrying the device with the screen open or lifting it by the screen.
- Keep device away from food, liquids, and pets. For example, crumbs could get stuck in between the keys, liquids could short circuit components, pets could chew on / damage device.
Safely transport the Chromebook.
- Carry it in your backpack or acceptable carrying case.
- Ensure that heavy books / objects are not leaning against or on top of the device.
- If you must hold the device instead of transporting in a bag, carry it with both hands or “hug” your device with both arms.
- Keep away from liquids that could spill on it during transport.
- Avoid throwing your backpack / carrying case or forcefully dropping it to the ground when you need to put it down somewhere. Lay the bag down gently to prevent damages to the device.
