These directions explain how to move your Chromebook's downloaded files to your Google Drive using your Chromebook's File Explorer.
Access Your Files Explorer Downloads Folder

In the bottom corner of your Chromebook's screen, select the Launcher icon and then the Up arrow.

Open Files. This icon might also be pinned to your dashboard menu at the bottom of your screen.

On the left sidebar, under My Files, select Downloads.

Select the file(s) you wish to move.

To select all files, use the shortcut Ctrl + A.

To select a sequence of files, hold the Shift button, click the first file, and then the last file to select everything else in between those two clicks.

To select a random multiple set of files, hold the Ctrl button and click on the various files you wish to move.

Drag your file(s) to save to another folder.

Select Google Drive.

Select My Drive.

If you have a particular folder in your My Drive you wish to save those files in, select that folder.

Click and drag your files to the new location to save.

Delete Files from Chromebook Downloads Folder

Open up your Files Explorer again and click on your Downloads folder.

Choose the specific files you wish to delete.

If you wish to delete all files from your download folder, click the 3 dots in the top right corner of the File Explorer window, then click Select all (to delete everything).

Click the trashcan to delete selected items.

Deleting a file from your Downloads folder is permanent and cannot be undone.
