If you have enabled desktop notifications through Google Chrome for your Google Calendar or Gmail, but are not receiving those desktop notifications on your Windows device, you need to set permissions to allow Google Chrome notifications in your System settings on your computer.
- Click on the Start menu.
- Click the Settings gear.
- Select System.
- Select Notifications and Actions.
- Under Get notifications from these senders, toggle Google Chrome button to On.
* In order to see calendar notifications on your desktop, your calendar must be open (even if your browser is minimized) because it is a cloud-based program.
