Having trouble opening pdfs? Getting a message stating that your internal storage on your Chromebook is full or almost full?
As a rule of thumb, it is best to understand that a Chromebook's storage is only meant to be temporary storage because a Chromebook has a cloud-based operating system. This means that permanent or long-term storage of files should be saved using Google Drive, not the download storage on the device.
A little storage housekeeping can help your device run more efficiently and free up your temporary storage. To do this, first move files you wish to keep from the download storage on your Chromebook to your My Drive, which can be accessed from the file explorer .
Once the files have been moved to your My Drive, you will need to delete these files from the download storage.
