This process works for checking students into school as tardy and checking out students who are picked up early. There are 2 buttons on KioskVUE called "Tardy Check In" and "Early Dismissal Check Out".
Parents Check In or Check Out Students
- Touch “Tardy Check In” (for late students arriving) or "Early Dismissal Check Out" (for students leaving early) on the KioskVUE app that is open on the school iPad.
- Touch “Scan your Student ID” if your student has their ID Badge.
- Open ParentVUE on your phone and select the student who is tardy or leaving early from the Student List.
- Follow these steps to get the student ID to scan:
- Click Student ID Card icon in ParentVUE
- Hold the QR code in front of the camera to scan and mark your student tardy.
- If you don’t have the ParentVUE app or an active account, touch “Use your StudentVUE Login” from the KioskVUE screen on the iPad.
- Enter your student’s username and password for their StudentVUE account, if known.
- If you have a note to leave for the attendance office about the reason for this tardy or early dismissal, place it in the tray near the KioskVUE.
- Parents can see the status of this tardy or early dismissal in ParentVUE on the Attendance tab.
- Initially, a tardy will show as a TU (Tardy Unexcused) until a note is provided with the reason.
- When taking your student out of school early, the code will be DU (Depart Unexcused) until a note is provided with the reason.
- All Tardy and Early Dismissal notes will be processed later in the day when the codes may change appropriately.
