If using a web browser to view email from a teacher, do the following:
- Log into your email provider account and select the email from the teacher (ex: Yahoo, AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.)
- Once the email has opened, notice in the Message From section where you MUST click the blue button that says "Click here to reply to message". NOTE: Do not use your email provider's reply button, this will cause your reply to not be sent out to anyone.
- Clicking the link will open up ParentVUE; log in with your User Name and Password. If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password hyperlink (*signified by red arrow in picture).
- Once you are signed into ParentVUE, click on the Synergy Mail button under the Home menu. NOTE: The red number indicates how many unread emails are in your Inbox.
- The navigation section will open; this window contains the Synergy Mail folders. The contents display in the viewing section when you select a folder. By default, the focus is set to the Inbox, which shows you any new unread messages and all read messages not moved to another folder.
- Select the unread message to read.
- The viewing section contains the contents of the message. Click on the Reply button to respond to the sender. Attachments are displayed at the bottom of the message; click the file to download it.
- The message window will open with the sender's name in the To field. To type your reply, click in the body editor section above the sender's response (*note the highlighted text in the picture below).
- Click the green Send button once you have completed your reply. NOTE: You can verify that you sent the email by clicking on the Sent folder to see the time stamp of when and to whom the message was sent.
