The district has updated to the "New" ParentVUE app. You will need to delete the previously installed ParentVUE app by doing the following if you have the application installed on your Android or iOS device:

Uninstalling the Old ParentVUE app
Uninstalling on an iOS (Apple) Device
- Locate the ParentVUE app
from your Home Screen or App Library.
- Touch and hold the app icon until a menu appears.
- Tap Remove App.
- Tap Delete App, then confirm by tapping Delete.
(*If apps are jiggling, tap the minus (-) icon in the corner, then select Delete App)
Uninstalling on an Android Device
- Locate the ParentVUE app
on your home screen or app drawer.
- Long-press (press and hold) the app icon for about 2 seconds.
- Tap the Uninstall icon (looks like a trash can).
- Confirm by tapping Ok or Uninstall in the pop-up window.

Installing on an iOS (Apple) Device
- Open the App Store.

Search for the ParentVUE (New) app
- Tap the Get button; once install is complete, open the app.

Put in the setup information following these directions: ParentVUE Mobile App and Web Access.
Installing on an Android Device
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap the search bar at the top and type ParentVUE New
- Tap the Install button and wait for it to install; once download is complete, open the app.
- Put in the setup information following these directions: ParentVUE Mobile App and Web Access.
About the New ParentVUE App
The new ParentVUE app is now viewable as a "Tiled" view. These selectable tiles contain links to the applicable student records of the focused student. Use the focus menu to select from the children actively enrolled in Chesapeake Public Schools.

The My Account tab accesses the parent's account information.
The Help tab directs you to the Help screen, which contains information provided by the district.
The Online Registration & Verification tab allows parents to register/ verify actively enrolled student(s).
Logout tab (ensure when done in ParentVUE to log out to end session).
Parents can select from the available languages at the bottom of the ParentVUE screen.
Available Modules
Synergy Mail: Allows parents, teachers, and students to send mail through Synergy SIS.
Calendar: Displays important details of the school day, such as district and school holidays and events for the selected student.
Attendance: Displays the student's attendance by list or calendar and any reasons for missed attendance.
Current Schedule: Displays the student's class schedule for the current term.
Course Request: Used for secondary schools only:
- View or modify course requests for the next semester
- The Course Request screen displays a list of the student's current course requests and alternate elective requests.
- The Comment column displays messages about the status of the request.
- The district controls the types of courses available for selection, when users can make course requests, and other options.
Grade Book: Displays student grades, assignments, and test scores posted in Grade Book.
MTSS: Displays a student's MTSS components, such as behavior points, CICO, RTI, and Emotion Tracker.
(MTSS stands for Multi- tiered System of Supports)
Grade: Displays the student's report card.
School Information: Displays the school's location, staff information, and school events.
Student Information: Displays student's demographic information. Includes emergency contact and physician information in ParentVUE.
Student Special Ed: Displays Special Education information for the student, if they are receiving services.
Test History: Displays historical test scores from multiple years.
Documents: Displays documents relating to the selected student.
Getting Started
After installing the "New" ParentVUE app there are some first-time setup screens.
When you open the app for the first time you will get the Welcome to ParentVUE screen.
Swipe to the left to continue with the setup process to connect to Chesapeake Public Schools server.
Answer the question about ParentVUE using your location.
- If you select Allow or Allow while using the app, it will automatically search the location for districts near your location.
- If you choose Not to Allow, manually enter the zip code of 23322.
Select Chesapeake Public Schools from the List.
Select Yes to the screen asking if you want to choose Chesapeake Public Schools as your district.
- If you already have an active or have activated a ParentVUE account in the past, choose the option Already Activated.
- If you have not yet activated your ParentVUE account and you have a student that is currently enrolled in Chesapeake Public Schools, click here to perform the self activation process.
Log in with your current ParentVUE username and password.
If manually entering the district URL, use: https://va-cps-PSV.edupoint.com
You can choose to go through the tour by selecting Continue to view some new features or you can select the options to Remind me later or Don't Remind me.
If you have selected Continue, select the option of Allow or Don't Allow to receive Notifications.
Below are the screens that show the new features in the app. It gives you the option to Snooze that particular feature or Continue to the Next feature.
